Food Spread

From burgers and fries to nuggets, tacos, sandwiches and more, Texans love fast food — and it’s no wonder why. When we need some instant gratification, nothing quite hits the spot like these convenient and cravable favorites.

To celebrate National Fast Food Day, we’ve rounded up the most-loved restaurants, meals, sides, and more that have our Runners frequenting the drive-thru.

While Austinites and Houstonians turned to national chains for their fast food fix, customers in San Antonio and Houston preferred to keep things closer to home. Austin customers ordered more fast food — and Chick-fil-A — than any other market. Whataburger fans pushed San Antonio into second place, while McDonald’s won out in Houston for third place. Dallas came in fifth on the list with Texas staple, P. Terry’s.

Across the state, the most popular day and time to order was Sunday at 6 p.m., with Friday coming in a close second.
