The Engineering team at Favor supports Favor’s mission to bring fast, fresh delivery to Texans far and wide. The Favor technology platform is the engine behind the business that enables our Runners (that’s what we call our delivery drivers) to deliver millions of Favors. Our technology efficiently manages the real-time assignment of Favors, facilitates communication between customers, Runners, and support, keeps mobile applications in sync, and more.

As a Software Engineer II at Favor, you will be responsible for all phases of development, testing, and deployment of our iOS applications. You will work closely with our product and operations teams to understand customer needs, build simple solutions to complex problems, and deliver delightful experiences to all our users.
What you'll do:
- Work on mission-critical mobile apps our customers and Runners depend on
- Deliver new features and make updates to the code base while working closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of development projects
- Keep our apps up to date with the latest technologies and best practices
Skills you have:
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: Swift, Objective-C, XCTest, MVC, MVVM, Dependency Injection, Cocoapods, and SPM
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code using software development best practices
- Understanding of technical direction to deliver well-scoped work
- Ability to plan and break work into manageable chunks
- Ability to walk through and manually debug existing code
- Experience working with REST APIs and understanding of best practices
- Ability to communicate clearly with User Experience and Design, Product Management, and Engineering teams
- Knowledge of application testing strategies including unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance tests
- Experience in a high-growth startup is a plus
