QA Analyst II, Integrations

Full Time - Texas or Remote

The Engineering team supports Favor’s mission to bring fast, fresh delivery to Texans far and wide. The Favor technology platform is the engine behind the business that enables our Runners to deliver millions of Favors. Our technology efficiently manages the real-time assignment of Favors, facilitates communication between customers, Runners, and Support, keeps mobile applications in sync, and more.

As a QA Analyst II, Integrations at Favor, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing of our product portfolio including services, web, mobile web, and native mobile applications. You will work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to understand customer needs, build simple solutions to complex problems, and deliver delightful experiences to all our users.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the Product team, Engineering team, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between clients and Favor’s systems
  • Explore new technologies and contribute to the refinement of testing-related tools, standards, and training
  • Mentor less-experienced Quality Assurance (QA) team members by providing guidance on testing methodologies
  • Engage and collaborate with other teams to ensure high quality, timely solution delivery
  • Communicate individual and project-level development statuses, issues, risks, and concerns to technical leadership and management
  • Ensure design, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing test plans
  • Plan and execute testing initiatives with external stakeholders

Skills you have:

  • A relevant degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a software testing role
  • Experience incorporating testing strategies into an agile/scrum environment 
  • Extensive experience with API testing
  • Ability to test multiple platforms and determine edge cases for tests
  • Understanding of QA best practices, methodologies, processes, and techniques at the database, server, and client layers
  • Ability to write Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to verify data flow between multiple components and systems
  • Strong understanding of RESTful endpoints
  • Working knowledge of JSON
  • Ability to design and build technical solutions and test plans without direct oversight
  • Knowledge of software architecture and dependencies to craft confidence-inspiring test plans
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep involvement in planning for testing internal and external systems
  • Ability to write detailed test plans and provide documentation to internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfort project planning, leading projects, and taking ownership at all levels
  • Comfort speaking with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or scripting languages is a plus
  • Automation skills are a plus
