Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio Terra Alpina (750 Ml)
750 ml. This Pinot Grigio is a brilliant straw yellow with green shimmer. There are quite pronounced and expressive aromas of flowers with somewhat spicy notes. There is rich flavor in the mouth, with slight smokiness at the back and a good, fresh finish. Pairs well with fish or meat starters, pates and terrines, fish and shellfish, poultry, white meat and mushrooms. Made with grapes from select vineyards in the Dolomiti area where the soil is primarily limestone. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by four months on the lees. 750 ml. This wine originates in the Lima sub-region, the birthplace of the Loureiro grape variety. It seeks the most vibrant expression of the grape variety, demonstrating its potential to produce quality wines and its great capacity for evolution. Clear and light colored. The wine possesses a good combination and balance of floral and fruity aromas, typical of well-ripened grapes from the Loureiro variety. It has an excellent body, a smooth, yet slightly crisp taste, a fruity palate and a persistent length. Very aromatic, floral, fruity fantastic minerality and a very good freshness. No oak is use on this wine.

The Luján de Cuyo Appellation is known for its alluvial, clay-rich soils with rounded rocks on the bottom. The nights are cool in this high-altitude (950m/ 3117 feet) appellation. This wine, made from 60% Semillón and 40% Chenin Blanc, goes through cold settling for 12 hours at 41ºF (5ºC) before its 25-day fermentation. After the fermentation, it undergoes a maceration of 6 hours. Before bottling, this wine spends 7 to 8 months in contact with the lees.
